Meeting # 282 August 01, 2009
Our Father Jesus,
It is so easy to be deceived by the Devil. He hides inside all manner of things that seem pleasing to the eye, and feel good to our touch, or pleasing to our palettes.
We must guard our hearts against the Evil one every minute of every day. When we feel angered our frustrated because the temptations are so over whelming, let us go to God on bended knee and beg him for strength to endure.
In Genesis God told Adam and Eve that they should not do something, but with very few words the Devil did tempt them into disobeying God.
He planted doubt in Eve’s heart about the power and wisdom of the father and in doing so changed the lives of them both forever.
Genesis 3: 1-13
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4 ”You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 ”For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. 8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.
9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” 12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me–she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
The Devil is still up to his old tricks. He lies and twist the truth, trying to convince you God is not for you. His temptations are directed at your faith, to do his best to separate you from God Almighty. He is in every system, and in every land, He controls the Media, The Governments, and the Laws of almost every land, and as time goes on his influence will increase.
Let us read the Bible daily, and retain the messages therein, as this is the ammunition you need to properly defend yourselves against Satan.
Remember what Jesus said when He himself was tempted by the Devil.
Matthew 4
The Temptation of Jesus
1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6“If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
”‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”
7Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”
8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9“All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”
11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.
Let us remain strong when the Devil is working overtime on us, and remember what Jesus Christ would do.
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Amen

Meeting # 283 August 2, 2009
revisited from # 139 March 11/2009
All Mighty God,
I come to you tonight once again in prayer and worship to you.
I know when I pray to you Heavenly Father that my voice reaches all the way up to you in Heaven, and I don’t need any Amplifier or Power Microphone to be heard either.
All lot of people don’t understand the ultimate power of prayer God, or believe that you actually ever answer their prayers.
I know God that prayer is important in our life as a Christian, but how should we pray? How can we pray and actually get things from you Father when we pray?
Phillips Brooks, the great preacher from Boston in the 1800′s said, “A prayer in its simplest definition is merely a wish turned Godward.”
D. L. Moody said, “I’d rather be able to pray than be a great preacher; Jesus Christ never taught his disciples how to preach, but only how to pray.
When it comes to learning how to pray, I don’t think there is a greater example in the entire Bible than Hannah in verse 11 we find her asking “give unto thine handmaid a man child.”
In verse 5 and 6 we read that the “LORD had shut up her womb.” Hannah was barren, unable to have a child, and when we see her praying, we find her requesting that God give her a son.
We not only see her praying, but we also see her getting an answer to her prayer. We read in 1 Samuel 1:20 “Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.” She named the son she received from God, in answer to prayer, Samuel, which means “asked of God.” Her son was a testimony to how Hannah prayed and that God answers prayer.
So Prayer is simply coming to you God and asking you for certain things. At times, we ask for what concerns ourselves personally, and others we ask for things that concern others, but we always come to you lord humble and gracious and thankful for whatever your answer might be.
I ask all my friends in the UNITED FRIENDS ORGANIZATION FREEBAND CLUB to become familiar with prayer.
When things happen: stop right then and pray, ask the Lord to help you right then, and nip it in the bud.
If you are praying for something out of your control or something you cannot prevent, give it to Jesus, and forget it, just let it go, let him take care of it for you.
Don’t wait until night to pray about it, talk our wonderful Lord God often, he is always listening.
Jesus: thank you for always being on my channel, when I call out your handle Lord.
We all Love you and thank you for everything you have endured.
Give us our daily bread Lord, and deliver us this night, in Christ name I pray,
Amen.

Meeting #284 August 3, 2009
Jesus Tonight I wish to share the joy of salvation, and reflect on some scriptures.
One day, God Himself will take your face in His hands and gently wipe away your tears as He reassures you there will be no more suffering…..You can look forward with hope, because one day there will be….no more separation, no more scars, no suffering, no more tears at all.
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
Revelation 21:4
“ A new command I give you: Love one another,
As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
“Do not worry saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ …Your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:31-33)Psalms 23
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever.
Amen

Meeting # 285 August 4, 2009
Almighty God,
We all are gathered one more time to send you praises and to thank you God for all of the gifts you have given us.
We all know the most important gift was your son Jesus Christ who by his death and resurrection at Calvary has redeemed us of our sins.
You know what we are all going through down here on Earth, and you know our thoughts father.
I know I have been trying so hard to please you God and I feel that most of us here on the United Friends organization Free Band Club channel, all feel the same way.
We ask that you let the Holy Spirit guide us down the path that you have chosen for us, and that we allow the Spirit to help us understand what you are trying to tell us all.
Oh father who created the universe with just a few words, how wonderful is your love?
How much you love the World, that you sent your only son, to die at Calvary, and with his resurrection you promised us all a room in Heaven if we only believe in The Christ, The Bread of Life.
You have made a covenant with us all to keep us forever safe in our spirits, forever and ever if only we believe He is your son.
Oh Heavenly Father how thankful we are to you, your magnificence is unmatched, and no one can defeat us when you are with us God.
Give us this day the bread we need, and help us to be big enough to forgive one another, as Jesus Christ has forgiven all of us.
Let us put no man asunder, and may we never stand in our brothers way, but instead let us lend a hand, let us give support, let us share the Salvation we posses with others who are still in the dark, and let us always be thankful to you oh magnificent God, and thankful for our sweet Savior Jesus.
I know I could never bear the pain that you took for me Jesus my Sweet Savior, and when I think of the horror of that rainy night at Calvary, my heart is broken, because I love you Jesus.
I suffer just to think about what we did to you, and I am so grateful for that act of love, that changed all of our lives forever.
In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit I praise you halleluiah!
Amen

Meeting #286 August 5, 2009
Lord Almighty,
Today when we look around at the world, we see a world where sin is rated in degrees, or some worse than others. But every sin no matter how big or small it may seem to you, in fact carries a heavy price. Adam and Eve just ate some fruit from the “off limits” tree, which to today’s standards seems like nothing at all.
When children are having babies and the system gives them birth control and condoms, to promote safer sex,
God want us to not indulge in that kind of behavior at all. So the world is now what people follow and not the word of God.
Genesis 3:14-19
14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
16 To the woman he said,
“I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;
with pain you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”
17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’
“Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat of it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
We must all understand that God has a totally different view of our sins.
Each one is followed by a negative.
Adam and Eve’s rebellion caused us all to be sinners, and none of us are ready for God, as soon as we are born we are not worthy.
Now instead of the whole world being a Garden of Eden, the world is now HELL ON EARTH.
The Garden has been shut up, we can no longer freely live, but now we must struggle in a world controlled by Satan.
That first rebellion against God’s rules sent the world spiraling toward destruction.
So sin not only hurts us, but hurts generations of people that will follow us too.
The good news is that Salvation by Jesus Christ is your only hope to someday stand in the presence of our Almighty God.
So when we look around at all the sin, think of how great Salvation really is. God loves obedience, and it scores massive points with him, while disobedience is the pathway to Hell.
Let us all here at the UNITED FRIENDS ORGANIZATION rejoice for Jesus Christ has covered us with his wings, and we are safe with him.
In the name of the Father God, and the Son Jesus Christ, sand the Holy Spirit who fills or hearts right now this moment, I pray.
Amen

Meeting #287 August 6, 2009
Dear God,
I have noticed in my fifty two years on Earth that a lot of people live with the tragic ailment of insecurity.
It affects them in a way that will not allow them to maintain long term meaningful relationships, because they somehow feel they have nothing to add, or they don’t fit in.
But we all need good relationships that are faith based, to be able to survive the beat down that the Devil is always giving us.
Some people become stuck up, and full of pride, and they withdraw from others, which then in turn is perceived by others as an act of hatred, or maybe they just refuse to be around others who once they wanted to be with. People who become insecure often suffer from indecisiveness and they live in fear, and self doubt will eat them up inside.
When we run into a stumbling block as Christians don’t worry about it, instead pray about it, make the problem become an opportunity to grow and learn and mature spiritually through the power of the Holy Spirit who is your Earthly guide. Just give it your best, that’s all anyone can do.
After a while, insecure people typically get angry. When they go so long feeling so poorly about themselves, they start to resent the success and happiness of others.
Jesus it is so easy to see how something as subtle as a lack of confidence can destroy one’s life.
Let us pray to be able to recognize areas of self-doubt and then start to take control today by asking you Jesus to heal all of our insecurities.
Psalm 143
A psalm of David.
1 O LORD, hear my prayer,
listen to my cry for mercy;
in your faithfulness and righteousness
come to my relief.
2 Do not bring your servant into judgment,
for no one living is righteous before you.
3 The enemy pursues me,
he crushes me to the ground;
he makes me dwell in darkness
like those long dead.
4 So my spirit grows faint within me;
my heart within me is dismayed.
5 I remember the days of long ago;
I meditate on all your works
and consider what your hands have done.
6 I spread out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.
Selah
7 Answer me quickly, O LORD;
my spirit fails.
Do not hide your face from me
or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.
9 Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD,
for I hide myself in you.
10 Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.
11 For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my life;
in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
12 In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
destroy all my foes,
for I am your servant.
Always trust in God to deliver you from the sin that may rob you of your Salvation.
Let us have confidence, the confidence that only Jesus Christ can give you, that you are worthy, that you do matter, and that God Loves you.
In the name of the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit I pray,
Amen

Meeting #288 August 7, 2009
Our Father who lives in Heaven we gather to praise you tonight.
Your love and generosity for us all is wonderful and we thank you for every precious gift God.
We want to praise you and exalt you, and show you the greatest respects, for you have shown us all how magnificent you love is and how much you care for us all by delivering us from Hell, by Salvation through Jesus Christ.
I am now going to read a prayer written long ago by David, who exalted you in so many ways God, his words of praise are an example of his love for you God, and certainly expresses everything I want to say to you tonight Father.
Psalm 66
1 Shout with joy to God, all the earth!
2 Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious!
3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing praise to your name.”
Selah
5 Come and see what God has done,
how awesome his works in man’s behalf!
6 He turned the sea into dry land,
they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
7 He rules forever by his power,
his eyes watch the nations—
let not the rebellious rise up against him.
Selah
8 Praise our God, O peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 he has preserved our lives
and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, O God, tested us;
you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison
and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let men ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water,
but you brought us to a place of abundance.
13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
and fulfill my vows to you-
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.
Selah
16 Come and listen, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened
and heard my voice in prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
Our God is a mighty God, who reigns over all of Heaven and the Earth, and any and all other existing worlds that might be out there somewhere too.
We praise your greatness the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Forever.
We may never know if there are others like us somewhere far, far away in a distant galaxy who are gathering together tonight to worship the very same God We are right now. But one thing I know that I can be sure of, if they are out there, God you created them too.
God you are creator of all things, who spoke us into existence, He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. Before god, there was nothing, everything belongs to him our King.
We all need to worship our mighty God any way you chose, any way at all, but do worship almighty God, because He is Grand.
May the Father and The Son and The Holy Spirit reign over all existence forever and ever..
Amen

Meeting # 289 August 8, 2009
Galatians 5:17-21
Our Father Jesus,
Bless all of us gathered here tonight for your glory.
We all have come under different attacks against our spirits, Jesus, and sometimes the attacks really cut like a knife.
When we have thoughts that are sinful do we think we are under attack by the enemy Satan?
Perhaps he is the reason I feel this way? Was there something in his plan that matched the rage we felt in our time of weakness?
Actually the answer is sometimes a resounding NO. For instance jealousy actually comes from inside one’s self, and even though we can stand there and deflect the truth and blame others, and tell ourselves we are perfectly justified for the way we feel, the truth is it is not envy that is driving us, it is our own mean spiritedness.
Usually we try to convince ourselves it is someone else’s fault. But it is simply not the truth; the truth is we all our responsible for our own feelings of envy, jealousy, and contempt.
Jealousy is a in the Bible, it is listed among such sins as sorcery and other sins which stand against our holy God and are described as “earthly, natural, demonic”
Galatians 5:17-21
17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
In James it also clearly states were these feelings come from as well.
James 3:15
15Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.
Jesus if we are envious of others, we try to compare our lives to theirs, we try to outdo the other guy, and sooner or later it becomes full blown hatred, and resentment, and Jesus I pray for any poor sole who lives life this way.
Jesus I pray that you help each of us to look objectively at our hearts motives. Let the Holy Spirit lead us to our knees so that we can pray and ask God for mercy so we may be healed and free from our brokenness.
Help those who live consumed by resentment and an attitude of jealousy today
I ask them in the name of Jesus Christ to come clean with Jesus Christ, give your hatred away, left him heal your broken heart, and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ because no one has ever done so much for you. Love Jesus, Trust Jesus, ask him to heal you and wash away your sins,
In the name of our Heavenly Savior,
Amen

Meeting #290 August 09, 2009
God loves you!
The bible says, “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life”
The problem is that . . .
All of us have done, said or thought things that are wrong. This is called sin, and our sins have separated us from god.
The bible says “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god.” God is perfect and Holy, and our sins separate us from God forever. The bible says “the wages of sin is death.”
The good news is that, about 2,000 years ago,
God sent his only son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
Jesus is the son of god. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates his own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”
Jesus rose from the dead and now he lives in heaven with god his father. He offers us the gift of eternal life — of living forever with him in heaven if we accept him as our lord and savior. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except by me.”
God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be his child. “as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on his name.” you can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.
If you want to accept Christ as savior and turn from your sins, you can ask him to be your savior and lord by praying a prayer like this:
“Lord Jesus, I believe you are the son of god. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins and give me the gift of eternal life. I ask you in to my life and heart to be my lord and savior. I want to serve you always.”
Let us all try to live a good life from here forward, and always pray to God as if you are speaking to your father, because after all He is your father, and call on the Messiah, Jesus Christ whenever you are weak. He is the one who your salvation is possible.
God Bless you and Keep you always my friend.
Rev. Robert D. Wright
Meeting #291 August 10, 2009
Lord God Almighty,
Tonight I am reading my pray from the book of Psalms Chapter 37, because it is perfect for the message that I have been trying do hard to convey.
I hope that everyone who can hear me voice will take just a minute of two to really hear the Words of David, as he lays it out for all to see, Selah.
Psalm 37 Of David.
1 Do not fret because of evil men
or be envious of those who do wrong;
2 for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when men succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9 For evil men will be cut off,
but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
10 A little while, and the wicked will be no more;
though you look for them, they will not be found.
11 But the meek will inherit the land
and enjoy great peace.
12 The wicked plot against the righteous
and gnash their teeth at them;
13 but the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he knows their day is coming.
14 The wicked draw the sword
and bend the bow
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose ways are upright.
15 But their swords will pierce their own hearts,
and their bows will be broken.
16 Better the little that the righteous have
than the wealth of many wicked;
17 for the power of the wicked will be broken,
but the LORD upholds the righteous.
18 The days of the blameless are known to the LORD,
and their inheritance will endure forever.
19 In times of disaster they will not wither;
in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.
20 But the wicked will perish:
The Lord’s enemies will be like the beauty of the fields,
they will vanish—vanish like smoke.
21 The wicked borrow and do not repay,
but the righteous give generously;
22 those the LORD blesses will inherit the land,
but those he curses will be cut off.
23 If the LORD delights in a man’s way,
he makes his steps firm;
24 though he stumble, he will not fall,
for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
25 I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
26 They are always generous and lend freely;
their children will be blessed.
27 Turn from evil and do good;
then you will dwell in the land forever.
28 For the LORD loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.
They will be protected forever,
but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off;
29 the righteous will inherit the land
and dwell in it forever.
30 The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom,
and his tongue speaks what is just.
31 The law of his God is in his heart;
his feet do not slip.
32 The wicked lie in wait for the righteous,
seeking their very lives;
33 but the LORD will not leave them in their power
or let them be condemned when brought to trial.
34 Wait for the LORD
and keep his way.
He will exalt you to inherit the land;
when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
35 I have seen a wicked and ruthless man
flourishing like a green tree in its native soil,
36 but he soon passed away and was no more;
though I looked for him, he could not be found.
37 Consider the blameless, observe the upright;
there is a future for the man of peace.
38 But all sinners will be destroyed;
the future of the wicked will be cut off.
39 The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
40 The LORD helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.
Almighty God let us all take refuge in you. May we earn your mercy God so that we might someday look into the eyes of your Son and Our Savior, Jesus Christ,
Amen
Meeting # 292 August 11, 2009
Our Heavenly Father,
Tonight I want to share a story donated by Windy 47, which talks about always trusting in God.
It is called “Three Bullets”.
There once was a man who had nothing for his family to eat. He had an old rifle and three bullets.. So, he decided that he would go out hunting and kill some wild game for dinner.. As he went down the road, he saw a rabbit. He shot at the rabbit and missed it.
The rabbit ran away. Then he saw a squirrel and fired a shot at the squirrel and missed it.
The squirrel disappeared into a hole in a cottonwood tree..
As he went further, he saw a large wild ‘Tom’ turkey in the tree, but he had only one bullet remaining.
A voice spoke to him and said, ‘Pray first, aim high and stay focused.
However, at the same time, he saw a deer which was a better kill. He brought the gun down and aimed at the deer. But, then he saw a rattlesnake between his legs about to bite him, so he naturally brought the gun down further to shoot the rattlesnake. Still, the voice said again to him, ‘I said ‘Pray, Aim high and Stay focused.’
So, the man decided to listen to God’s voice.
He prayed, then aimed the gun high up in the tree and shot the wild turkey. The bullet bounced off the turkey and killed the deer. The handle fell off the gun and hit the snake in the head and killed it. And, when the gun had gone off, it knocked him into a pond. When he stood up to look around, he had fish in all his pockets, a dead deer and a turkey to eat for his family.
The snake (Satan) was dead simply because the man listened to God.
Moral of the story:
Pray first before you do anything, aim and shoot high in your goals, and stay focused on God. Never let others discourage you concerning your past. The past is exactly that, ‘the past.’ Live every day one day at a time and remember that only God knows our future and that he will not put you through any more than you can bear.
Do not look to man for your blessings, but look to the doors that only He has prepared in advance for you in your favor.
Wait, be still and patient: keep God first and everything else will follow.
FROM ONE FRIEND TO ANOTHER
don’t ever worry about tomorrow, God is already there!!!
Let us always trust in God. Even though the story is a little farfetched, remember all things are possible with Jesus Christ who strengthens us, and if we do not lean on our own understanding, and instead follow our spirit, then God will always provide.
Amen
Thanks to Wendy 47 for this.
Meeting #293 August 12/2009
Father, I thank you that I have been raised up with Christ. Direct my eyes to the things above, where Christ is, seated at your right hand, instead of the things that are on earth. I thank you that my old self is dead and my life is hidden with Christ in You. I thank you that Christ is now my life. I thank you that the members of my earthly body are dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry; I renounce all such behavior and desires.
Eph 6:12-18 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints
Father, I choose to take up the full armor that you have entrusted to me as Your child in Christ, so that I will be able to resist in the evil day, standing firm against all evil–against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. I gird my loins with truth, and put on the breastplate of righteousness–Christ’s righteousness. I shod my fee with the preparation of the gospel of peace–Christ’s peace. And I take up the shield of faith, trusting Christ in me for faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And I take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, Your word. Please keep me in prayer and petition at all times in the Spirit, alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints. Thank you.
Prov 3:5,6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him.
Amen

Meeting #294 August 13, 2009
Our Heavenly Father,
Thank you for another day of precious life.
We have heard your calling, and we will not miss your invitation to Heaven.
You have called to people for centuries Jesus, are they listening?
They were looking for A Lion,
He came as a Lamb, and they missed him.
They were looking for a Warrior,
He came as a Peace maker, and they missed him.
They were looking for a King,
He came as a Servant, and they missed him.
They were looking for Liberation from Rome,
He submitted to the Roman cross, and they missed him.
They were looking for a fit to their mold,
He was the mold maker, and they missed him.
Friends what are you looking for? The Lion or a Warrior?
A King or a Liberator? What are you looking for?
They were looking for their temporal needs to be met.
He came to meet their eternal needs, and they missed him.
He came as a Lamb to be sacrificed for your sin. Will you miss him?
He came to make peace between God and man. Will you miss him?
He came to model servitude for all mankind. Will you miss him?
He came that we might have true Liberty. Will you miss him?
He came to give you eternal life. Will you miss him?
When we submit to the Lamb we will meet the Lion.
Join with the Peacemaker and we will meet the Warrior.
Work with the Servant and we will meet the King.
Walk with the Submitted and we will meet the Liberator.
Concern ourselves with the eternal and we will have the temporal.
If Jesus is not fitting into the mold you have, then come to the mold maker and get His new one.
Submit to His plan for your life and you will see the eternal need met first, and then all the other things you have need of will be taken care of as well.
Bless all who here my voice tonight Jesus, guide them Lord, so they will not miss you.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
In the name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit,
Amen

Meeting #295 August 14, 2009
God almighty,
As we gather tonight and share in brotherhood and fellowship, safe in our homes, sometimes it is easy to forget: who is the one who makes this all possible, that someone is you God.
We are all ok, and sometimes we just forget how important it is to stay on top of our feelings, and our thoughts, and how easy it is to drift into bad habits, and drop our guard as slide in and out of sin.
God I know I am not worthy of salvation, and that I am a sinner, and that only your son Jesus Christ, can speak to you in my behalf. When I lose sight of your glory God, let me read the scriptures, to help remind me just who I am dealing with here, that somebody being you father, You are the almighty, magnificent, all majestic God who created the entire everything. And I am so ashamed of who I have been, be look forward to who I am becoming in Christ Jesus – Selah!
I turned to the bible today and read the words of Simon Peter, for encouragement to strive to be a better Christian, and He reminds me that to suffer now means to gain later, and he also reminds who to whom we serve and his greatness above all things..
2 Peter 1
1Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:
2Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Making One’s Calling and Election Sure
3His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
10Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, 11and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Prophecy of Scripture
12So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have. 13I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, 14because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. 15And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.
16We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. 18We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.
19And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. 21For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
Dear Father, Let us never forget, and let our guard down to sin. We must remember to whom we serve and your absolute omnipresence above all things, all things father.
Give us peace in the knowing that the reward for our suffering will be abundant in Heaven and Forever.
Give me strength God to carry on the mission you have given me and to be an example of Gods greatness, by the light that shines in me:
Amen

Meeting # 296 August 15, 2009
Jesus,
Tonight I want to thank you for all things Great and small, from the smallest to the grandest it all belongs to you Jesus. I wanted to share a warning to my friends that you gave to all us Jesus, in Second Timothy so that they might be mindful about how it may fit into our lives today. Let him who hear, hear these words, let him who see, focus on the light the light Jesus.
2 Timothy 4:6-8
6For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Our Heavenly Father let us all be mindful of the conflict between good and evil that rages on every day, so that we can steer clear of things that are not pleasing to you.
Sins separate us from you God and ever since Adam and Eve fell to it, in the Garden of Eden. We are all sinners and we remain sinners even after we accept Christ as our Lord and King. Galatians 5:19-20 say’s this:
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, and factions.
We also must always be mindful of an external enemy: the system of ungodly beliefs, attitudes, and philosophies all around us. 1 John 2: 15
15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
We as Christians should always try to set an example by our Salvation, and the light that is within us. And steer clear of the flesh things that do not please God.
After all things that are not from above are from below, and Satan is in a constant conflict with our omnipotent God the creator of all things. We must steer clear from evil and let Satan fight his own battles with God, because to be on his side is to be on the losing team.
Stand proud and ready to do battle with him, clothe yourself in the Armor of God’s Word, and seek his protection from the battle that rages ever on.
In the name of Jesus Christ ~ My Sweet Savior,
Amen

Meeting #297 August 16, 2009
Our Father Jesus,
I pray for the millions who live in constant Sin and Temptation. Help mankind to resist Lucifer and all of his sensory enhancers, let his demons not control our hearts. Let us allow the light of Jesus of Nazareth to defend us against Evil’s powerful enticements.
Temptation is the downfall of man. In a world of lust and sin, greed and despair, people have become comfortable living in sin.
Temptation is the root of Evil, and not fighting sinful temptations in a man’s life will cause his soul to be lost. The bible has a lot of good advice about the battle against temptation and sin.
Matthew 6:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
We as Christians can all rejoice in the knowing that Jesus Christ, and God almighty are but one, and he will return for us all that we might be caught up with him in the sky. All of us who keep the faith can always be happy, even in the face of the worst adversity, because we know that long after my name is forgotten and not spoke by man any longer, My father will return, and renew me, and take me to the promised land he hath prepared for me in Heaven.
1 Chronicles 16:10
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
1 Chronicles 16:32
Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
2 Chronicles 6:41
Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.
Let us all never forget the valuable lessons that are in the Holy Bible. God urges us all to read his word, so that we can grasp his concept of what life should be like. The Holy Bible is like a lamp unto our feet which lights the path that we all must follow. Without the light of the SON to guide you, you will end up on a detour that will take you south of Heaven. My friend Jesus is calling out to you to embrace him, and your very salvation depends upon it, so don’t take chances on dying without knowing the Nazarene named Jesus Christ. Only through him can you be forgiven.
Amen

Meeting #303 August 22, 2009
God our Heavenly Father,
Blessed are we, who turn to you for everything.
You have delivered us into another day of life, may your spark fill our spirits always God..
We as a group have heard a slightly different version of the club this past week Lord, and I want to thank Mark for being such a trooper for our cause. The cause of spreading the word of you son Jesus Christ to all our associates, whether family, or friends or foe, to have to conviction and the courage to say, yes I am a Christian, Yes I ticked off because forces are trying to turn my country into a Marx’s Society, where freedom is no longer a right, but a privilege that is controlled by Atheist in Washington. That I do believe in the Liberty not Tierney of We the People, One Nation Under God Indivisible with Liberty and Justice for every men, not just the privileged few.
We all agree that everybody has a different way to say the words, the words that were planted into the Hearts of all the Prophets by the Holy Spirit of God. The shield that can protect us as a Nation: the Word of all mighty God, the supreme omnipotent Master of all the Worlds.
He plants the seed into your Heart, that seed grows and becomes righteousness and if you follow the path that your heart keeps nudging you down, you will end up at the door steps of Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of Almighty God, Our Savior who shed his blood at Calvary, for you, for me, for everyone, no matter what was in your past, no matter how heavy your heart may weigh, Jesus Christ is the Healer of the Blind, the raiser of the Dead, and the Bread of all Life. He is with you always, you are never alone, and the Christ is right by our sides.
So let no man judge another, or let us cast no stones, if anyone here is without sin let him be the first to judge his brother, otherwise sit there for a minute and pay attention because this preacher here is trying too save your life!
Time to get up and get it on for Jesus Christ! We all have been sitting around on are donkeys for way to long, with our mouths shut, and that’s my America is on the brink of absolute civil war!
We need to tell everybody, whether they chose to hear it or not, that we are born again through the saving blood of Jesus Christ, we want our nation back, and we want our nation to be led be the father and The Son and The Holy spirit, the way it was created, the way it was intended to be.
Why do Christians always have to apologize to someone or explain our actions? Every other religious faction in the world practices their religion freely, so why can’t I?
Try telling a devote Muslim that he cannot take his allotted time each day to pray to Allah, He is going to pull out his mat put it on the floor and get down on his knees and pray any way and no one makes a big deal out of that. So who cares what anybody thinks about us, we are going to pray to Jesus when we want too!
You are a child of God, you have been chosen by God almighty to share in an everlasting afterlife of glory, so what can a trouble maker say, or a mean spirited person say that could possible stop this freight train that steams down the tracks or our spirit?
Nothing: that’s what. Like it or leave I personally don’t care, but remember this, Jesus said that he will return like a thief in the night. When you least expect it Death will find you, no one escapes the Grim reaper. So be prepared, be bold, never run from confrontation for what is right. Always boldly proclaim to whom you serve! The truth will set you free my friends, and the Bible only has truth in it, not one word of fiction, not one over glorified tale, just the facts man.
So what you going do when He comes for you?
Are you ready to stand before the most glorious creature in all of creation, and tell him what you did for him? When God ask you what did you do in his name, will you be able to say.
I did it all God, I did it by the book, I am your Christian Soldier, and you are my only commander GOD, I do not fear your judgment God.
Give to me the Salvation you have promised me father, for now I have passed over, to be you forever and ever, you loyal and Faithful Servant. I am with you now forever Father.
For God so loved the World, that he gave his on begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have ever lasting life. John 3 16
Thank you God for everything, for all the brave men and women who are not afraid to fight for what is right!
Amen
Amen

Meeting # 304 August 23,2009
Our Heavenly Father,
Today’s world is a completely different place than it was when you walked with us here on Earth. Mankind has grown through modern technology and it seems that the smarter man becomes, that problems of the world are increasing rapidly. Desperate times lead to desperate measures, and things here are only going to get worse.
There are two classes of people in this world the haves and the have not. But which is richer the man who stores up his wealth or the man that has nothing and seeks Gods guidance to survive?
The Parable of the Rich Fool in Luke 12 explains how our creator thinks on this subject.
13Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
14Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”
16And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’
18“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.” ‘
20“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’
21“This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God.”
So if we as humans do not seek to store up possessions then how are we to survive Lord, will you help me Lord to survive to fight off desperation? The book of Luke also answers this same troubling question – Selah.
22Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27“Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
32“Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Jesus Christ we will always trust in you and not lean on our own understanding, but instead we by faith and by the Holy Spirit, will survive and thrive and you will provide for all our needs. Dear God Almighty how we love you and seek your face. As we age and mature let us take understanding in the things that are most important are the things of the Heart. Let our thoughts of desperation be in a longing to be where you are father.
In the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit I pray,
Amen

Meeting #305 August 24, 2009
Matthew 25:31-40
The Sheep and the Goats
31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’
Oh heavenly Father,
I know that you are watching me always, and you want to know how much truth I know about the Bible. How many times I turn those truths into opportunities to share that knowledge. And what I did or did not do: when the opportunity arisen. I know I am doing the best I can and I know my judgment day is coming. I know that on that day there will be no excuses or arguments that can stand, nor will anything unrighteous, selfish, or evil be permitted in God’s holy presence. All we’ll have to show is what we did in His name. Every person who receives Jesus Christ as Savior shares in the gift of eternal life. However, just as each one is judged by his or her, own life, so are rewards given individually. Though the Bible is not specific about the nature of heavenly blessings, the promise of receiving them is certain.
Every day God gives each of so much in so many way big and small, and so many new reasons to honor his glory! Let us not waste another second, but instead let us be ready for on the Day of Judgment, all that will matter, is what I have done for you Father.
Thank you God for everything:
I also wanted to talk to my friends about “being the guy behind the microphone” always saying the prayers. There are many preachers, for certain but to stick to the word of the Bible, is to be more like an interpreter than a preacher. The Bible puts it this way.
Then the Lord said to [Moses], “. . . I will raise up a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell the people everything I command him. I will personally deal with anyone who will not listen to the messages the prophet proclaims on my behalf. But any prophet who falsely claims to speak in my name or who speaks in the name of another god must die. But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’ If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.”
–Deuteronomy 17:18-22
“And He said to them, ‘O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! . . .’ Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.”
–Luke 24:25-27
“God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.”
–Hebrews 1:1-2
“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”
–2 Peter 1:20-21
Jesus is the reason I do the things I do. It isn’t for the sake of me, more like for the sake of you.
So listen if you will my friends, as I speak to you the words.
That come from scriptures of long ago, the best I ever heard.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit I Pray:
Amen

Meeting # 306 August 25, 2009
Jesus our Savior,
In Luke 17:5, the apostles asked you Jesus to increase their faith. Jesus you told them that if they had faith as small as a mustard seed, they could do great things.
God does not enlarge our faith instantly. He begins with what little we have and proceeds to grow it. It takes time to see the things God is doing, but He is always working in the background opening some doors, and opening new ones. It is extremely hard sometimes to believe in something when you can’t see it or feel it or smell it or touch it, but friends have faith in this, “The Lord God is real for certain, and Jesus Christ walked this Earth as a man, but in fact God also was He.
The Bible tells you that Jesus was the Son of God, and also explains that He was also with God in every way. And that also a third part of this Holy Trinity exist as well, The Holy Spirit, who still dwells on Earth with us, are helper, or overseer our councilor.
In the book of King it tells a story of a women that not only did not have faith in the things of God, but she questioned whether believing in the things of God were a bad omen or bringer of bad luck. It took something miraculous for her to see the Power of God working in her life through Elijah.
1 Kings 17:17-24
17 Sometime later the son of the woman who owned the house became ill. He grew worse and worse, and finally stopped breathing. 18 She said to Elijah, “What do you have against me, man of God? Did you come to remind me of my sin and kill my son?”
19 “Give me your son,” Elijah replied. He took him from her arms, carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his bed. 20 Then he cried out to the LORD, “O LORD my God, have you brought tragedy also upon this widow I am staying with, by causing her son to die?” 21 Then he stretched himself out on the boy three times and cried to the LORD, “O LORD my God, let this boy’s life return to him!”
22 The LORD heard Elijah’s cry, and the boy’s life returned to him, and he lived. 23 Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to his mother and said, “Look, your son is alive!”
24 Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the LORD from your mouth is the truth.”
We as Christians today probably won’t see too many of these kind of miracles happening, but the World is full of Spectacular things, exciting trends, worldly sinful things, that distract millions from hearing the holy Spirits voice. It is easy to be swayed and end up South of Heaven.
The only defense is a good offence. If we remain prepared and always guard our hearts from the things that also are not pleasing to God, we gain favor from God, and it is always better to be on the winning team people.
Psalm 18
1 I love you, O LORD, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.
He is my shield and the horn [a] of my salvation, my stronghold.
3 I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
and I am saved from my enemies.
Give us all strength Jesus to fight against things that cause our souls harm.
Delivery us from Evil and let or Heart follow the Holy Spirit.
In your name I pray Jesus:
Amen

1 Kings 17:8-16
8 Then the word of the LORD came to him: 9 “Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food.” 10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?” 11 As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.”
12 “As surely as the LORD your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.”
13 Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.’ ”
15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.
Our Father God,
I know that when we are in need, when the bottom falls out and everything seems like it is going dad, you find that time to speak to our spirits.
When we lose are financial security. Or what we perceive to be security disappears, that is when we come to the realization that all things come from you God.
You will provide for us in various way father, but we don’t always perceive the miracle or the influence you are placing on us, but never the less it is there. In our time of need we gain an opportunity to walk in faith. Just as the lord fed Elijah the Ravens when he was hungry, he will also provide for us.
When we are successful often we are blinded by the things of the world and are faith suffers greatly. Thinking we have it made, is lying to one’s self, because at any time we can lose everything we have, everything, but we never lose the grace of God. We are totally dependent on the Lord God, and only by living by the example of his only son Jesus Christ, might we gain the protection of security, the kind that comes from securing your Salvation.
Believing that God would provide, Elijah witnessed His miraculous intervention. We may not see the Lord perform a supernatural work in our financial situation. However, we can be sure that, just as God fulfilled His promise to Elijah, He’ll be faithful to His Word in our situation as well: “My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19).
The means God uses may change, but His faithfulness endures forever. He’s infinitely more reliable than any employer or 401K. The Lord is inviting you to trust Him and live in both the adventure and security of a life of faith.
Just as God took care of Elijah He will also take care of us.
Father we trust in you, and know that we will receive what we need, if we remain faithful to you.
In the name of Jesus I pray:
Amen

Meeting #308 August 27, 2009
Jesus,
I watch the news, I listen to the events of the day, and I see a world full of people consumed by trends, money schemes, 401 K’s, Investment plans, all of this designed to give someone a sense of security. Everybody is racing to make the almighty dollar as if it was the God they serve, and not the Father who is in Heaven.
A world full of people dependent on themselves to survive, and all are missing out on all great opportunities to Worship and Praise God for delivering them success in their finances, and giving them everything they have. I wonder often “Do they depend on you Jesus?”
I know all strength and all provisions I have are from your generosity Jesus, and I am sorry when I worry about what I will do, when the Bible tells me specifically: first to seek the Lord thy God and all things will follow.
In the Old Testament idolatry and worshiping things other than God was present and nothing angers God almighty more that placing someone or something higher than him.
Long ago in the time of King Ahab, Israel was swayed into believing in a religion that was not the Worship of God of the Bible. Instead of worshiping the Lord God they decided to worship BAAL instead.
But when Elijah went to those people and challenged them about their new belief no one said a word.
1 Kings 18:16-21 (New International Version)
Elijah on Mount Carmel
16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him, and Ahab went to meet Elijah. 17 When he saw Elijah, he said to him, “Is that you, you troubler of Israel?”
18 “I have not made trouble for Israel,” Elijah replied. “But you and your father’s family have. You have abandoned the LORD’s commands and have followed the Baals. 19 Now summon the people from all over Israel to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel’s table.”
20 So Ahab sent word throughout all Israel and assembled the prophets on Mount Carmel. 21 Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”
But the people said nothing.
Jesus a lot of people right now may think to themselves, this really does not apply to me. But the truth is everyone struggles with putting too much worth in things of the world, holding things like money, jobs, and affairs of the heart, future planning, in higher esteem than Worship Time, and Bible Reading Time, and Prayer Time. They have higher priorities. We must be wise not to love the things we have more than the one who gives those things to us. Let us always set aside time each day to worship the Father of all Creation, the Giver and taker of Life, everyday.
Show God He is first in your life, then family, then friends, then a job, then success; this is the order that God would appreciate from us the most.
Matt. 6:24
24“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
If we really believe that the God of the Bible is the only true God, we ought to give Him our whole life, follow Him faithfully, and serve Him with all our gifts and abilities.
Jesus I give my life to you right now. Forgive me for my built in insecurities, and allow the Holy Spirit to work in my heart, that I might be able to get my priorities straight.
Jesus forgives us our sins, and blesses each one present here every day. Let us not forget to please him in return.
Amen

Meeting # 309 August 28, 2009
Sometimes we will take a step of faith if there is a backup plan, if there is a safety net. While there is a place for caution, a place for prudence, and even a place for seeking the counsel of those who have lived longer than we have, but having said that, there is also a place for faith. There is also a place for taking chances and taking risks.
As we get older, we are less willing to do that. We want everything laid out for us. We want to know what will happen after this and after that. But sometimes God will say, “I am not going to tell you. I want you to just obey me.” That is why I would rather try something and fail than never try at all. And if you do try and ultimately fail, then learn something from your failure. I would venture to say that any person who has been successful in ministry, in business, or in any other enterprise has had more than his or her share of failures and has learned something from every one of them. It has been said that the doorway of success is often entered through the hallway of failure. So if at first you don’t succeed, relax. You are just like the rest of us.
But how can we face failure and disappointments and still look to God for his guidance, do we just act as if nothing is going on? How can we accept our situation as God’s will and move on?
Did God not here me? Did God not think it is not important enough for me to let me succeed?
Why would I fail if I have depended upon him? I don’t understand your way of doing things God, maybe I expect too much, maybe I don’t expect enough? Is there more I can do to succeed, or is my failures a sign that it is time to move on, try something new? How do I know if God is for me or against me?
I have learned there is no tangible answer for these questions Father. There is no way of knowing that you are behind me. Only TRUST, total trust in God and the Son Jesus Christ can bring me security. No not necessarily success, just security.
Maybe the plans we made were just that: OUR PLANS” and never really had God’s blessing to begin with. I guess with any big plan or success there are certain risk involved. But trusting in God eliminates all risk of failure. For to lose everything: but gain your sole, is a success, a success that cannot be cashed in on until after you are out of here people.
So I think for sure I did succeed. I went through all of this, and I trusted you God.
You may not have delivered on what I thought was a great plan, or you may not have carried me when I thought you would, but through everything I have managed to keep my faith God, to remain looking up to Heaven, even though my life is Hell. So even if I lose this plan, and it all goes down the tubes, even if I suffer every day from now until the day I no longer wake, I will be a winner, because my life will begin on that day my eyes close and there is no longer a twinkle in my eye, on that day this life ends, my eternal life with you will begin. So all of my plans will no longer matter, and God will have a new job for me in Paradise.
God I don’t even know me anymore. I look back at the man I have become, and knowing the place where I came from, I am a totally different person. You have transformed me into a being that can accept failures, and manage to not be mean spirited because I am not getting me way. I am no longer a spoiled brat, I have became a man of God.
I have gained confidence in my final destiny, but almost given up on ever having any kind of future in the world. There was a time when I could not accept not being in control of my Earthly destiny, I would be an angry young man right now, but that old me is gone and the new me realizes that this life is all but over anyway, and in the total mass of things, this life is meaningless. Now I am ready for Judgment day, and that brings me happiness in the middle of strife… God I ask that you have mercy on me and my friends. We do not require much God, and we are not asking you for anything, we just want to please you father, no matter what the cost may be.
If it is your will father then so be it, if not let us brush off the dust of disappointments and look to Heaven for our next adventure as a Christian Soldier for you Lord.
King David had this to say about disappointments and depression of the Heart.
Psalm 42
1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
6O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
7Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
9I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
11Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Give us all this kind of super faith God, a never ending faith that puts you above all over things. Let our hearts not mourn about losses we can control. Instead let us all find happiness in the knowing that someday we will stand before you Almighty God. Let our hearts be filled with Gladness even now.
In the name of God Almighty I pray:
Amen

Meeting # 311 August 30, 2009
Our Heavenly Father,
Thank you for another day, and all the bounties we have received. All things are from your hand God, and we praise you as the creator of the stars.
We live in a world that is riddles with disease and corruption, and man’s hatred for one another is at its all time high, and the more evolved all problems become, the more that man seems to be turning away from God.
Instead of men coming to you on bended knee, to ask for mercy God, they are proudly stacking their gold and silver.
Christ we pray for all the souls who are lost in this jungle planet, who do not know you or never have. Without you Jesus to put our faith in, we are merely empty shells, and without regard to whom we may be hurting along the way. Greed takes a hole of men and turns brother against brother and nation against nation.
Stay honest and righteous always and treat others as you wish to be treated as well.
There will be many rewards for those who remain faithful to Jesus Christ.
Luke Chapter 6
20Looking at his disciples, he said:
”Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.
21Blessed are you who hunger now,
for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now,
for you will laugh.
22Blessed are you when men hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.
23“Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.
24“But woe to you who are rich,
for you have already received your comfort.
25Woe to you who are well fed now,
for you will go hungry.
Woe to you who laugh now,
for you will mourn and weep.
26Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.
Let us all be thankful tonight for our Savior Jesus Christ, for all the woes and blessings.
Amen

Meeting #312 August 31, 2009
Psalm 42
[b] As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food
day and night,
while men say to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”
4 These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go with the multitude,
leading the procession to the house of God,
with shouts of joy and thanksgiving
among the festive throng.
5 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and 6 my God.
My [c] soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.
7 Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.
8 By day the LORD directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life
Our father Almighty God,
How can we conquer discouragement oh Lord?
I know I need to look inside myself to try to find what the cause is. I will be the first one to admit I am discouraged God, and I am trying to find the strength to face this head on so I can begin to forget.
I know disappointments will come and go, but to be discouraged about it is a choice I make.
I will rely on the words of the Bible day and night so I can judge for myself what is real, and try to adjust so I can better deal with what id troubling me Lord.
I ask that Jesus helps me and leads me into the direction He has planned for me, so I can waste no more time on the past. I will try to focus only on you God and not my situation and I ask that you teach me God a lesson from what I am experiencing. I will accept anything that Jesus gives me, and I understand that God allows disappointments as an opportunity to grow stronger in my faith. God allow me not to wallow in pity, but instead tighten up not lighten up.
The Father is with me in the pain; He’s in control of my life and has allowed this for a reason; He is a good God, who will turn this disappointment into blessing.
Discouragement is a very destructive power let me be ever vigilant in the ways of its Evilness.
Thank you for everything God, I appreciate anything I receive Father.
Amen
